THE NEXUS COMPETITION 2026–2027 IS NOW OPEN!
One Theme. One Team. Unlimited Creativity.
Are you a filmmaker, animator, musician, fashion designer, photographer, fine artist, writer, film maker, comedian, dancer, actor, graphic designer, digital artist, or creative visionary? Have you ever wondered what could happen when talented creatives from diverse disciplines collaborate to create something NEW and extraordinary?
THE NEXUS COMPETITION is your opportunity to find out.
This flagship six-month creative challenge unites multidisciplinary teams to respond to a shared creative brief through collaboration, innovation, and artistic excellence. More than a competition, it is a journey of learning, mentorship, networking, and professional growth, culminating in a spectacular showcase at THE NEXUS FESTIVAL in June 2027.
What to Expect
Over six months, participating teams will:
Collaborate with creatives from diverse artistic disciplines.
Respond to an exciting themed creative brief.
Attend exclusive mentoring and feedback sessions led by experienced industry professionals.
Develop their ideas through structured monthly milestones.
Build a professional creative portfolio while documenting their journey.
Present their completed work to thousands of festival visitors at THE NEXUS FESTIVAL 2027.
Projects may combine multiple creative disciplines, including music, film, animation, photography, fashion, fine art, theatre, design, digital media, spoken word, architecture, and many more, to showcase the power of creativity without boundaries.

Winning teams will receive:

Along with additional special awards recognising creativity, collaboration, innovation, storytelling, audience impact, and emerging talent.
Projects will be assessed through a combination of expert jury evaluation (60%), professional practice throughout the six-month programme (20%), and public voting at the festival (20%).
